Which Duvet To Buy

Duvets Featured

Want to sleep like a baby but struggling?  Maybe your duvet has lost its warmth over the years? Now could be the perfect time to treat you and your bed to a new one.

With so many different duvets available to choose from, how do you know which duvet to buy? With a range of different togs and fillings available, we can help you decide on the perfect one for you!

Which Duvet

Here at Linen’s Limited we have a fantastic range of duvets to suit every individual taste whether you are looking for a extra high tog to keep you warm, or an all seasons duvet which you can adjust depending on the weather.

When it comes to choosing a new duvet there are three things that can determine the comfort of the duvet, the warmth, softness and weight.

Tog

If you are lucky enough not to feel the cold then choose a duvet that has a tog warmth of between 3.0-4.5.  These are also perfect for hot summers nights, should we be lucky enough to have any this summer!

If you are someone that can feel the cold then why not consider a duvet between 7.0-10.5 tog. This should ensure you are kept cosy at night but not too warm that you go back to having a bad night’s sleep again.

Always feeling the cold then the best tog for you is the highest one i.e. 12.0-13.5, guaranteed to keep you warm and toasty every night (my favourite)!

Filling

Another factor to consider when choosing your duvet is the type of filling, whether you decide on a natural filling or a synthetic filling.

Duvets that contain natural fillings have a tendency to last longer than those filled with a synthetic filling but if you are allergic to feathers then duvets with a synthetic filling will be the best choice for you.

Duvet Fillings

Duvets filled with a natural filling like duck feather and down are heavier in weight keeping you extremely warm at night which many people actually prefer.

Goose down duvets are still warm but are slightly lighter than those filled with duck down. Our range of natural duvets are available in either down or feather and down.

Duvets containing a synthetic filling are typically filled with either polyester hollowfibre or microfibre.

Duvet Synthetic

Another good thing about Synthetic duvets is that they can be washed in a machine whereas natural filled duvets need to be cleaned by a professional cleaner.
