In June, we hosted our annual Rising Star competition to celebrate our favourite up and coming interior design Instagram accounts. After a tough competition between five brilliant accounts (read more about these accounts here), we announced our winner, as voted for by the public, Rachel, who runs her Instagram account House_of_5 sharing inspirational interior shots from inside her gorgeous home.

With her prize winnings, Rachel opted for a bedding refresh, and we can’t help but agree that it’s the perfect time to do so! Read on to find out more about Rachel’s favourite items.

The first choice of bedding was the stunning Dot Garden 100% Cotton Duvet Cover in Slate, from Appletree. This soft cotton set feels like a little bit of luxury, and is also available in different colours.

Rachel said: “I loved this contrasting polka dot design, the dots are stitched really well and the 100% cotton really feels like a luxurious hotel bed. Tempted to buy another in white as I love it that much!”

Rachel said “I chose this bold striped design for my teenage boy’s room with the ochre adding warmth to what is quite a dark loft bedroom”.

We think it’s the perfect set for a teenager’s room!

 Rachel said: “I really loved the button detail, perfect for any room, chose ochre again to add warmth to my teenage boys room, and the chambray effect adds texture and depth.”

Rachel said: “I chose this bold star reversible design to add some fun to my four-year-old’s bedroom, a perfect choice for autumn/winter with the 100% brushed cotton, so cosy!”

We think this is perfect for the colder evenings, plus it’s reversible so it gives the options to have two looks.
