Luxury Towels Perfect For Your Bathroom

Whether you’re entertaining overnight guests this winter, or you’re really feeling the cold, you really need to take a look at your bathroom towels. There’s one thing sure to make you feel cosy, warm and comfortable after being out in the cold, and that’s a hot bath.  However, one of our least favourite prospects once we’re in the water, is getting out onto a cold floor, and wrapping a threadbare towel around us whilst we try to dry off and get dressed quickly. Brrr!

Making your bathroom warm enough is one thing, but ensuring that the towels you wrap around yourself after you leave the comfort of the warm water is another, and you need to invest in some really luxurious, warm, fluffy towels if you’re to preserve the cosy feeling you can get by having a warm winter bath.

So, what sort of towels should I choose?

There are many different types of towels to choose from, and it’s important to know about what constitutes a good quality, or luxury towel before you make your purchase. Below we list some of the best things to look for when purchasing luxury towels for your bathroom.

The material

There’s a reason Egyptian cotton is seen as one of the most sought after material for sheets and towels, and that is because Egyptian cotton is able to offer softness, absorbency and durability that is beyond compare. It can be woven into the most perfectly soft and cosy towels. In fact, the mere mention of the words “Egyptian cotton guest towels” and your guests will be asking if the hot water is on yet!

Choosing the right sizes

There’s no point in having a luxurious quality towel if it won’t wrap around you. It’s best therefore to choose a range that will offer a variety of sizes, to ensure you have all bases (or bits!) covered.  Don’t forget, that all of your guests won’t likely be the same size so offering everything from a small bath towel to a bath sheet will ensure that they’ll be happy with their lot.

Choosing colours

Many people prefer to have guest towels that are a different colour to their regular towels, but there is a school of thought that suggests it may be a good idea to get various colours for guest towels too, so that each guest can be presented with their own coloured towels upon arrival.  Of course, this may not go with your bathroom colour scheme, but is a nice touch if you have a pretty plain bathroom.

You don’t have to go as far as monogramming tiles with your guests name to make them feel like you’re offering them a bit of luxury, simply offering them their own, high quality, coloured towels for the duration of their stay will make them really feel at home in your home. Happy Hosting!
